Shumpei Chosa is a photographer and filmmaker based in New York and Tokyo.

After a career in consulting, he is now focused on documenting Japan’s traditional crafts. Through his work, he explores the values, philosophies, and ways of life embodied in these traditions, seeking to connect them with contemporary audiences.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Media, Culture, and Communication and Economics from New York University.
